WHO INVENTED THE FIREPLACE PLUG? The Fireplace Plug (originally called the Fireplace Draftstopper) was invented by a Canadian businessman named Dave Formosa of Davic Enterprises. Joe Pate from Enviro Energy International worked together with Dave to improve the original design and bring the product to market.
